State regulation of fuel prices should not be introduced in any case, said Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak during a meeting with the LDPR faction.

"State regulation should never be introduced. There will be no gasoline or diesel fuel. And the price, maybe ,will fall, it is volatile, " he said, answering a question about the prices of petroleum products.

Gasoline prices on the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX) on Friday showed a slight downward correction after strong growth throughout the week (local fuel appreciation on the SPIMEX began on March 11). So, Ai-92 by Thursday rose in price by 20.8%, from 38,716 rubles / ton on March 11 to 46,785 rubles / ton on March 17. However, on Friday, the price of fuel went down-by 2.3%, to 45731 rubles / ton ,( as a result, the weekly increase in the cost - 18.1%). The cost of Ai-95 increased by 20.7% over the week, from 41873 rubles / ton on March 11 to 50523 rubles / ton on March 18. On Friday, the price of 95th gasoline also corrected down, but only by 0.1%.%
