JSC Antipinsky Oil Refinery has successfully completed a major modernization project on its third processing unit, marking a significant milestone in the company's ongoing expansion program. The upgrade increases the refinery's total processing capacity and enables production of a wider range of higher-grade petroleum products.
The modernization involved installing new hydrotreating reactors, upgrading the atmospheric distillation column internals, and implementing advanced process control systems. These improvements allow the refinery to process a broader slate of crude oils while maintaining product quality that meets the most stringent international specifications.
The upgraded unit features state-of-the-art catalytic technology from leading international licensors, ensuring maximum conversion efficiency and minimal environmental impact. New heat integration systems were also installed, reducing energy consumption by approximately 15% compared to the previous configuration.
"This upgrade represents our commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence," said the refinery's Chief Technical Officer. "By investing in the latest refining technologies, we ensure that our products consistently meet and exceed the quality expectations of our domestic and international customers."
The project was completed ahead of schedule and within budget, with the unit reaching full operational capacity within the first month of commissioning. Quality tests confirmed that all products from the upgraded unit meet Euro-5 emission standards and relevant GOST specifications.
Looking ahead, the refinery plans additional investments in secondary processing capabilities, including a new vacuum distillation unit and expanded storage facilities to support growing export volumes.
